My name is Colin Maier, Son of Franchisees Carol and Jay Maier, and I am the On-Site owner of the Marshallton Goddard School. I am passionate about providing a setting that enhances children’s natural desire to learn, with a curriculum that challenges, stimulates and supports all aspects of their developmental growth. My passion for helping others develop, and learning from my parents’ experience, is why I chose to become a part of The Goddard School. Our school serves families in the West Chester, Downingtown, East Fallowfield and Romansville areas and we would love the opportunity to have your family become a part of our Goddard Marshallton/West Chester family!
I began working at The Goddard School of Marshallton in October 2024. I have been working with young children for most of the last 20 years and in management for almost 10 years. I graduated from Drexel University with a BS in Psychology. Working with children, ensures my days are lively and rewarding.
I have been with The Goddard School since 2006. I love the families here at The Goddard School and have made lots of lifelong friends with students, teachers, and families. I have my degree in Elementary Education from Kutztown University. In my free time I love to cook and clean and I look forward to doing lots of travel. I find teaching very rewarding and the children have taught me to be flexible. My hope for your child this year is that they will learn, laugh and grow.
I began with the Goddard School in September of 2024. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, along with a decade of experience working with young children. During these years, I have learned that just as children are always changing, we as educators must also always be changing. One of my favorite things about teaching is the light in a child's eyes when they finally understand a topic or complete a task they have been working on for awhile.
I have a Child Development Associate Credential and have been with The Goddard School since 2004. I love the nurturing caring environment and curriculum we have here at The Goddard School. I have two loving children Aidan and Mia. They bring me so much joy and help me appreciate the wonders of childhood. In the future I hope to continue my education to obtain a degree in Early Childhood Education. My hope for every child in my classroom is that they feel loved. I look forward to watching them grow and seeing their smiling faces.
I started at The Goddard School of Marshallton in February of 2025. I have been working with children for over eight years. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Education. One of my favorite parts of teaching, is seeing the lightbulb go off when a child learns something new. My favorite book to read to children is "A Bad Case of Stripes" by David Shannon.
I joined the Pretoddler room in May of 20205. I have been working with young children for over 15 years. I love being able to share my interests with students and hopefully inspire them to try or learn about something new. Working with children has taught me how much I can also learn from them, you just need to slow down, watch, and listen. My favorite activities to do with my students include crafts, sensory play, singing, and dancing. Outside of work, I love spending time with my kids, reading, and crafts. My favorite time of year is Halloween!
I have been with Goddard since February 2023. I have been working with children for over 20 years! Making my students feel safe and loved is my top priority. I enjoy reading books and singing songs with my students. I believe that positive and constant communication with both the student and parent is key when working with young children. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family.
I joined the Goddard School Marshallton as an infant teacher in September of 2023. I have been working with infants since 2009. From these experiences, I have learned that young children need a lot of nurturing and patience from their teachers in order for them to thrive. Teaching and caring for children is a passion of mine because it gives me so much joy and fulfillment knowing that at the end of the day I have been a part of their growth and development. I love to read to my students. My favorite book to share with young children is, “Brown Bear, Brown Bear” by Eric Carle. In my free time I love to cook, do puzzles, and read.
I began working at The Goddard School of Marshallton in March of 2025. I have been working with children for about 5 years. I love getting to see the look of a child's face when they finally figure something out on their own. Working with children has taught me to appreciate the little things in life and a lot of patience. I love to work on science experiments with my students of every age. My favorite book to read to any class is "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak and "The Three Questions", a short story by Leo Tolstoy. Outside of work, I love to go horseback riding, taking care of my EIGHT hermit crabs, and hang out with my friends.
I have been with Goddard since June of 2024. I love watching children learn and grow. I have a bachelor's degree in individualized studies. I enjoy spending time with my children, reading and writing poetry. I am excited to learn the personalities of the children in my care as the year go by.

I joined The Goddard School of Marshallton in December of 2024. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science and I am currently working on my Master's in Counseling. I have been working with children for 13 years and I am so excited to be a part of the Infant Room. The first year impacts the rest of the child's life.
I started at the Goddard School in Marhallton in April of 2025 in Preschool. I have been working with children for the past two years. I plan on going back to school for Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Working with young children has taught me how big their emotions can be, without the ability to express them fully. Sometimes a hug or snack helps. Being able to be a safe place for the children makes the job feel very worthwhile. I enjoy reading books to the class, and doing all arts and crafts projects. My favorite children's book is "The Kissing Hand" by Audrey Penn. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, baking, and watching movies. I have been with Goddard since November of 2020. My teaching experiences have taught me that an effective teacher is patient and treats their students with kindness and respect. I love to be a part of children learning, exploring, and reaching new milestones. I am currently working on my degree at Delaware County Community College. My future professional goal is to obtain my bachelor's degree in early childhood education. One of my favorite books to read to children is, "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie". During my spare time I like to spend time with my family at the beach and hang out with my puppy Sullivan. A favorite quote of mine is, "Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart".
I began working at The Goddard School of Marshallton in April 2025. Before starting here, I worked as a teacher in a toddler classroom for over three years. I believe the job of teaching Early Childhood Education is so important because these children are our future and I would like to have a positive impact in their lives. Working in childcare has taught me about the various ways that children learn and the importance of play. My favorite book to read to my class is "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" by Bill Martin Jr. One of my favorite quotes comes from Maya Angelou. She said, "Try to be a rainbow in someone's clouds." Outside of the classroom, I enjoy writing poetry, reading, gaming, and listening to music.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have been with the The Goddard School of Marshallton since November 2024. I am currently in my second year of college at West Chester University. I love being able to connect with all of the children in every classroom. Outside of work, I enjoy being a cheer coach. I started with Goddard in the summer of 2024. I have 2 years of prior experience working with children. From my experiences, I have learned how to understand the root behind child behaviors and effectively help them communicate and understand their feelings in addition to regulating their emotions. I started at The Goddard School of Marshallton in December 2024. I have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. I have two sons, one of whom is enjoying his time in the Preschool classroom. I started with Goddard in the spring of 2024. Working in the early childhood education field has taught me that patience and understanding are the keys to a successful classroom. Additionally, in order for children to get the most out of their preschool experience, they must have exciting and engaging activities every day!
